Indian Sandstone
Indian Sandstone is a natural product and there will always be an inherent variation in shade and colour, making each piece of stone unique.
Available in a large range of colurs and sizes's there's a sandstone to suit everyone's project needs.
With the correct preparation and installation Indian Sandstone will last for years.
Indian Sandstone should never be laid to a bed of sand or laid
using the Dot & Dab Method. If laid using the Dot & Dab method, cement marks will end up showing through to the top of the paving and cannot be removed.
A good dolomite base should be laid and then the paving laid to a full bed of mortar. The better the preparation the better the end result. Once the paving has been pointed in and has dried off you can seal the paving with a quality patio sealer to enhance the stone further.
Use a gloss sealer to give a permanent wet look or a matt finish sealer to give a subtle protection.
Professional, friendly advice is always available so please feel free to get n touch if you would like any help calculating what you need or advice regading the laying of the paving
Important Customer Notice - When having a contractor to lay the Indian Sandstone, please make sure they are reputable and check how they intend to lay the paving. You should prefarably get this in writing. The stone should never be laid to sand (no exceptions) or laid using dot & dab. A solid dolomite base should be laid first, then the stone should be laid to a full bed of mortar (50mm minimum). Dotting & Dabbing the paving causes marks to come to the surface and when water gets underneath the paving will simply lift.
